We here at Grapeleafgold.com are big fans of Black Hills Gold. We've been wearing it for many years. When an opportunity to partner with Black Hills Gold Jewelry by Coleman presented itself, we jumped at the chance to work with them. We enjoy working with them and with such a beautiful product. Black Hills Gold Jewelry by Coleman was founded in 1977. Located on the south edge of Rapid City, they are right on your way through the Black Hills of South Dakota. They represent the world's largest producer and supplier of Black Hills Gold jewelry. This notable distinction is attributed to their large assortment of attractive designs and their outstanding prices. We hope you enjoy your time with us on our site! Don't pass up the chance to read the legend of Black Hills Gold below! According to legend, a French goldsmith named Henri Le Beau became lost during the "gold rush days" of the middle 1870s in the Black Hills of South Dakota and fell asleep believing he was dying of thirst and starvation. During a dream, he saw a mountain stream with grape vines growing on its banks. Upon awakening, he walked over a rise and found the stream and grape vines just as he had in his dream and, out of gratitude, dedicated his life and talents to creating jewelry in the shapes of grape leaves and clusters fashioned in rose, green, and yellow gold. Today, a series of up to 40 different steps are necessary to capture the same dramatic detail in our traditional and contemporary Black Hills Gold designs. The rose and green golds are created by adding silver and copper alloys, respectively, to yellow gold. By Federal mandate, this style of jewelry must be manufactured in the Black Hills of South Dakota in order to carry the name of "Black Hills Gold Jewelry". This "Made in the USA" product carries a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, and our customers have given us a 99% Customer Satisfaction rating. |
